This is an album of music from John Playford’s English Dancing Master and contemporaries. You can choose to put the album on just to listen and enjoy, but crucially, each track can be danced to. Repetitions and speeds have all been meticulously researched and included in the sleeve notes. So if you dance any sort of Playford, this is your Invitation to Dance.

On the 1st January 2015 new EU VAT regulations come into force that will mean that digital downloads will (hopefully temporarily) no longer be able to be sold from this website. So for any EU member state wishing to purchase one of the digital items these will now be shipped on a CDrom (and incur extra postage).
We apologise for any inconvenience that this new EU ruling gives and are a bit miffed that the only legal way round this new law is to revert to posting a CDrom in this digital day and age.
A brand new duet book. Published by Schott Music, Wetfootmusic is pleased to be a distributor. For more details click here.
The book contains many of the standard favourite tunes in the current Scandi scene in the UK and many more. Freshly harmonised and set for either nyckelharpa or violin. All 73 tunes are included on a CD recorded by Vicki on the nyckelharpa.
The Nyckelharpa distance learning series has been launched. Aimed at the beginner with no access to a regular teacher this is a series of daily exercises. Each day four lines, each with four bars are completed. The emphasis is on beautiful thoughtful playing. The exercises are not pretty or wonderful – but their aim is to make you a better player when it comes to playing tunes. The series is now in progress, but you can start any time as it is asynchronous. Currently up to nine days this will be expanded constantly to build up to a massive learning resource. Are you up for the challenge?
The complete audio has now been recorded on nyckelharpa. This is a digital download of all the tunes. Each tune played twice, once on its own and one with the harmony. The file is sent manually, but will be sent very quickly! Enjoy!
